I read about Sean Carey (or S. Carey) this morning and must admit that I have never heard of him. He plays drums and piano for Justin Vernon aka Bon Iver and has his own record coming out. In The Dirt is an impressive song with its repetetive percussion sounds and layered vocals.

I was already raving about the great cover art of the forthcoming album No Ghost back in our society. Now the title track to their new album is finally available. Singer/guitarist Klausner announced: “It’s a lot harder, it’s got a lot more electric guitars, it’s got a bit of a Yo La Tengo-y or Talk Talk kind of spaciousness, but then it also feels a little like a Crazy Horse record at times.”

Clogs will release their 5th album The Creatures in the Garden of Lady Walton on March 2. The band features Australian composer Padma Newsome, who wrote the songs, and Bryce Dessner (The National). Guests on the album are Shara Worden of My Brightest Diamond, Sufjan Stevens and The National’s singer Matt Berninger. I’m very excited for the album!
