COMMENT DIVERSION: As myspace dies, what really fills the void for bands???

hate myspace, love bandcamp. Duh. But, as myspace finally dies, what truly fills the voids for bands? Facebook? Bandcamp? Youtube channel? A Band blog/tumblr? Muxtape?

Where can a band use to stream some audio, post a couple youtube vids, put up some tour dates, AND allow for purchasing of their discography, etc?

Am I just forgetting a site? Myspace sucks, but outside the inability to “shop” it was (and still is) a one-stop shopping to check out a band.

So… what fills the void?

I think tumblr is a valid option. it’s easy and quick to post any content and great for networking with other tumblrerererers.

I’m thinking a combo of bandcamp + a nice tumblr/blog would be the ticket, eh?

there’s nothing really… except for maybe an artist’s own website, which would definitely have all that information. and yeah, definitely big ups to bandcamp! come to think of it, they should add a feature to post shows.

Tumblr is the way to go! Easy to edit plus its better than WordPress because it allows Java! So you can sell merch from the blog site! pretty sweet and it post straight to twitter and face book
