Comment diversion: What are your favourite concept albums?

Still listening to Illinoise, a kinda concept album, right?  Concept albums are one of the bravest and most self-indulgent and most awesome and most horrible kinds of albums there are!

So, for a little comment diversion… What are your favourite concept albums???

@TSURURADIO Fiery Furnaces – “Rehearsing My Choir” most visual (though the use of sound) album ever made.

@TSURURADIO http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rehearsing_… It’s the most underrated/misunderstood record of that decade.

@TSURURADIO Lou Reed’s Berlin, Neutral Milk Hotel’s In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, and Bob Dylan’s Highway 61 Revisted come to mind.

@TSURURADIO some argue that Highway 61 Revisited isn’t a concept album. I disagree whole heartedly. An album of concept songs should count.

“Hospice” by The Antlers. Beautiful, dark, haunting and very powerful. It’s about a cancer patient and the patient’s friend/lover/close relative (you never actually find out) going through the trials and tribulations of the disease.
