Profound Broccoli: happy halloween

Saddest Ghost by Marcel Dzama

Happy Halloween all! I hope everyone has a great weekend enjoying whatever hijinx you find yourselves in. Just wanted to post some Halloween themed vids for your enjoyment.
My fav Halloweens have always been the movie marathon ones. While going out to parties all dressed up is fun too…they never seem to live up to my expectations. I think I’ve been over saturated by year after year of TV show Halloween episodes that I have yet to be to a Halloween party that’s blown me away. But movie marathons are super great! You can go full on scary, campy, gore fest or a mixture but they never seem to disappoint. I’m very partial to the old school horror films (I’m talking pre-80s here). Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Boris Karloff, those guys are the classics! If you’re having a Halloween party this weekend I recommend renting one of the Hammer horror pics and just have it play in the background. Or if you’re having yourself a creepy movie marathon throw one into the mix! They’re campy, creepy and just a fantastic ride to watch (oh yeah there’s always sexy ladies of course!). And also, if you’re not a big horror fan, these type of films are a great middle ground. No nightmares to be had…okay well not for me, but I suppose I”m not the best judge as I love odd/weird/creepy/gorey all the time. Oh! Except horror films dealing with ghosts like Paranormal Activity (have not seen yet cuz I know I’ll pee my pants) and the original Grudge aka Ju-On (terrifying to me). I also recommend for Halloween parties/movie marathons Alfred Hitchcock films. He’s the king of suspense. Happy Halloween mwahahaha!!!
