July Flame by Laura Veirs: You’re halfway to New Orleans…

Photography by Ala Protasewicz

Hope everyone enjoyed our cheesy-quasi-romantic-style mixtapes yesterday! At least as much as we did spending the past year getting to the point where we could share them! But alas, it’s time to move on as there’s still so much wonderful music floating around, just waiting for our ears to gobble up, and today, it’s July Flame by Laura Veirs…

To be completely honest… I don’t have too much to say about this album except that it’s absolutely stunning and lovely and, well, pretty. It’s gorgeous, it’s all those kinds of words like that, it’s also sleepy, in a beautiful “bed head” sleepin’ in kinda way, it’s lazy summer, it’s cocooned winter, and you know what, it’s Veirs’ masterpiece, anyone’s masterpiece…

Everytime I listen, I’m taken aback again….

Just wow.
