A busy boy, a busy weekend, Them Crooked Vultures, and something special for tomorrow!!!

Photography by equilibriumgeo

Hello & happy Monday everyone! Busy weekend, maybe a little too busy as I’m one wiped out mammer-jammerin’ mother fucker. Oof. With Baby in India, it was me on the bicycle knocking out over 100 miles and nearly reaching 5,000 miles for the year so far, here’s your boy after finishing yesterday’s epic & ridiculously hill 50+ miler…

Yeah, that’s not a “too cool for school” facial expression, that’s a “jeesus-fuck I’m tired” expression. Clem’s looking good up on the car though, ain’t she?

Beyond that, it was Tiny Canary (where I got baby a sweet little present) and another Motel photo shoot. With Saturday’s shoot with Anne, I felt like I had enough shoots to finally offer something to you for all your holiday shopping needs! Yep, I’m proud to introduce via lulu.com…

MOTEL GIRLS the 2010 calendar!!!

All proceeds from calendar sales will go for the continued Tsuru Nation Domination Actuation plan (i.e. paying to keep all the Tsuru-activities going).

Next up, if you noticed the post over at Tsuru & The Bride, we threw out a TSURUFOTO Casting Call!

That’s right, if you are a woman, have a bike, are remotely near Columbus, OH, and don’t mind being photographed, you need to contact me ASAP! In this age of shitty cheesy photos of skanky women on motorcycles and “sports” cars, how refreshing would it be to usher in a new era of real & beautiful women on their bicycles?

Very refreshing…..

Speaking of refreshing, Them Crooked Vultures leaked out last week (yet ANOTHER supergroup)!

Yep, another super-group. It’s contagious, but at least it’s something worth catching, eh? According to my intertubal sources, this time around we got John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin, Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters, and Josh Homme from Queens Of The Stone Age (or QOTSA as their fan like to type). Doesn’t really sound like a concoction of musicians I’d give too many shits about, I’m not too big on stoner rock, or Foo Fighters, and my Led Zep phase ended when I became a grown-ass man (sorry, just couldn’t get into, but lard knows I tried in my teenagin’ years).

Yet here we are on a Monday listening to some bluesy, sweaty-ass, rock, maybe it’s that it’s less “stoner” and more “dirty” feeling to me? Maybe it’s just the funky mood I’m in from a mix of nutty-busy weekend plus missing my baby? Or maybe it’s just what I was hankering to listen to this morning. Whatever the case, good times. A fresh take on an old-school sound. Nice.

Now, these guys are Major Label, of course, so I’m just putting up the two songs I saw floating around the intertubes. If you want the rest, I recommend bowing down to Interscope and buying this thing!

EDIT — OH & HEY!!! Stay tuned tomorrow. We got a very, very, VERY special treat for you. Something extra near and dear to our hearts. So, come on back by, ya hear?
