It’s not the clock that stopped…

Another recommendation, this time by long time friend Lysol. Helvetia, and their gem, The Acrobats. Another tough one to classify and describe, but I’m so glad I took the time to get to know it. The album is understated. That is to say, it doesn’t come out and smack you upside the face. There’s a certain subtlety that makes itself known (well, in an understated way, right?) right off the bat with our lead off title track. It’s chill groove, humming keys, and whining guitar letting you know the mosh pit (do they still call it that?) is closed for the evening, thank you. This is summer atmosphere pop/rock (You like that? It just now came to me, brand new trademarked Tsururadio genre naming, on the fly! Hey, you can use it, but it will cost ya! Ha ha!) with a bit of classic rock psychedelia in the mix.

Quite nice. Thanks Lysol, now your turn…. Enjoy!

    yeah, this guys are amazing!
I love their first record, The Clever North Wind, too.
    This band is seriously overlooked.
