Well, this sucks… After a really rough week, the one thing you can use is a good sleep, right? Well, come, oh, 5:15ish this morning I wake up, WIDE AWAKE. I fought it, sure, but after about 45 minutes laying there making absolutely no progress going back to sleep, I gave up and got up. Oh well.
On the plus side, it’s been a productive morning, much to your benefit because our new vinyl rip is up for your pleasure, Beirut’s unique (I love unique new york, unique, I nique, we all nique for icenique) debut Gulag Orkestar! This is one of those albums that reaches back in time, back in eras, back into different worlds, creating a kaleidescope (oof, had to look that word’s spelling up) of timeless sounds flowing seamlessly from song to song… perfect for the vinyl format as it only adds to the feeling, taking the listener deeper into their world. Beautiful.
So, enjoy, as…
