I’m supernaturally superserious when I say, "thank you so much"!

Since setting up my address to be blog.tsururadio.com, I’ve been double checking with elbo.ws to make sure everything’s getting seen correctly, I noticed for the first time the tiny link at the very bottom of their page for Elbows Blog Rankings… I know they have their top 5 most popular-at-the-moment ranking on their main page and I’ve seen us pop up there when we post about a band that’s happens to be all hyped-up & what-not, but I didn’t know they had a weekly round-up kinda thing. So, imagine my surprise when I clicked it and saw the screen shot I posted above…

5th? Really? Out of nearly 3,000 sites? During a week we posted older albums from 1984, 1972, and 2007, a little mixtape, and only one new music post? Wow… All I can say is thank you sooo much! I really appreciate your love and support for my little odd slice of the internets.

So, as a small token of my appreciation, I headed over to REM’s little promo site for “Supernatural Superserious” built by Vincent Moon and recorded one of the acoustic live recordings of the song (Box #7, to be exact). And here it is… I know it’s not much, but just hearing Mills acoustic bass (you’ll swear it’s Brian Ritchie from the violent femmes), the intimate cafe setting, and the simple song done up so simple and spare, it’s pretty cool.

Enjoy & thanks again! More music coming soon!!!

REM – Supernatural Superserious (Acoustic Live Box #7)

This album should be leaking soon! Until then, go show R.E.M. all the love you can here, here, and here now!

I’ve used your site a couple of times via Elbo.ws and have to say a thank you in return! I think it’s brilliant that you’re doing rips of vinyl albums. Though I grew up in a time that records were still a standard, my family were more into cassettes (mix tapes for life), so I feel like I missed out in a way. Hearing the vinyl crackle on the MP3 rips allows me to be nostalgic for something I never really got to experience, which is a pretty cool feeling.
