Photography “Fifty Rooms” by Rose & Olive

Ah, this is a tough week, I’ve been obsessing over 2 new leaks that are bouncing around on the internet. Currently it’s the New Pornographer’s new album Challengers. I pre-ordered the Executive Edition of the album and was given permission to stream the album. I recorded it so that I can enjoy it on my iPod, and oh man is it wonderful! I can’t put any tunes up though as the “Web Sheriff” is on the look out for this one and I don’t want to get sued. So, trust me, go pre-order this guy and start listening now! You won’t regret it.

Movin’ on…

Quietly leaking on the internets this week is Iron & Wine’s new album The Shepherd’s Dog… This one surprised me because 1) I didn’t realize he had a new album coming out, 2) it’s been leaked 3 months before it’s release, and 3) there isn’t even any album artwork for it yet!

Wow.

Now given that this is my beloved SubPop and how early this has leaked out, I feel I shouldn’t put up my normal 5 songs. So instead, I’ll put up the apparent first single (a gem of a song) “Boy With A Coin” and one of my favorite stand-out tracks from this album that I swear reeks of funk & R&B, “Wolves (Song Of The Shepherd’s Dog)”. The album is wonderful, Iron & Wine did a great job of progressing his sound forward with the addition of an organ, a sitar, a slide guitar, yet still retaining that Iron & Wine sound!

Finally, to enhance these amazing tracks, enjoy this small sampling of an amazing photo from one of my favorite photographer’s Rose & Olive. To me, both Iron & Wine and these amazing polaroids seems to capture my home state Florida perfectly. Hot, humid, steamy and sexy…

Fuck, I’m starting to get sidetracked and I’m rambling. Alright, enough chit-chat, just listen, view, and enjoy!
